The weather was bad all night with the wind howling and shaking the window panels. Rain was still falling and the fog was very thick so we just took it easy and watched TV in the morning. Drove to Cardiff about 11:00 am but it was still raining and foggy so we just bought some more groceries at Marks & Spencer, had a late lunch at Burger King and then headed back to Laugharne.
Flor prepared 'chicken adobo' and 'ham nilaga' for dinner; watched 'Meet the Fockers' afterwards, packed the luggage and went to bed early. Basically a rest day.
Day 8 29 December.
As predicted, the weather was sunny and clear on our last day and the sun didn't disappoint either. The sunrise was postcard-perfect for a Wales winter morning as I took an early walk to take pictures while everyone was still asleep .

Everyone was up and about and breakfast was ready when I returned so we all sat down for our final meal of leftovers. Loaded up the car, took some group pictures outside and then headed out for Cardiff Airport stopping once for gas.
We were able to see the road to the airport this time and had to stop a couple of times to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic due to the narrowness. It's just hard to comprehend that an international airport would have such a desolate access road. Oh well, we're just visiting.
Returned the rental car and then waited at the main terminal lobby for our check in time since we were about 3 hours early for our flight. The airport security is more strict here on carry-on luggage though. We had to put in the trash our 'baon/lunch' bag because it was declared as excess baggage so we ended up buying a 'heavy' (£/pound) lunch at the cafeteria. Part of the trip.
Flight departed on time and arrived at Malaga around 19:30. Drove back to El Puerto and arrived 22:30. A downside on the return: electricity was cut off at the Barcelon's residence so they had to spend the night at our place.
